Group of five miniature medals: Distinguished Flying Medal, 1939-1945 Star, Air Crew Europe Star with Atlantic ribbon bar, 1939-1945 Defence Medal, and 1939-1945 War Medal. 4. 1939-1945 Bomber Command medal with box and numbered certificate. 5. RAF enamel cufflinks and box 6. RAF service and release book 23/3/42 to 30/4/47 7. Royal Air Force ID card with photo image laminated original. 8. Original photo of Charles J Andrews and friend beside a plane. 9. RAF station Reykjavik V.E.Day 1945 menu six signatures on back. 10.RAF station Reykjavik Christmas 1944 menu seven signatures on back. 11.Copy of Memorial page from UBC The University of British Columbia. All of the above was sold to us by the daughter of Charles J. Andrews who also reflected the following that her father had told her 1. He was a flight engineer as well as a pilot of both Spitfire and Lancaster aircraft. 2. He was shot down on two occasions. 3. After being shot down in one aircraft he had spent nine days adrift in the English Channel before rescue. We were not able to find any more history of Charles Joseph Andrews other than the relativity of the above items and memories that were reflected from his daughter.
