Iran Persia 5 Rials Silver Coin Reza Shah Sterling Coaster

A lovely antique silver Persian coin encased in a silver coaster.  The coin is 5 Rials dated 1934. On the back side is the lion  & sun with crown and on the top side is a crowned wreath with a REZA SHAH legend.

Ahmad Shah Qatar preceded his father, Mohammad Ali Shah, as the Shah of Iran from July 1909 to October 1925 and the last of the Qatar dynasty. It is alleged that Ahmad Shah was one of the most democratic minded kings of Persia.   He was born in 1898 and died in 1930 at the very young age of 32.  

 The coaster is 2.75 inches in diameter.  Total weight is 46.5 grams.

Excellent condition -- the coin is crisp with few signs of wear as is the coaster
