This 2019 Royal Canadian Mint $20 fine silver coin is part of the acclaimed Historical Stamps series, faithfully reproducing classic Canadian postage stamp designs in one-ounce, 99.99% pure silver formats. These coins are struck in a rectangular, serrated “stamp-shape” with proof finish, simulating the exact character of the original 10-cent Special Delivery stamp (1942) or the classic Queen Elizabeth II design.
The Special Delivery issue features the Royal Coat of Arms of Canada and vintage green colorization, replicating the 1942 war-time stamp by Herman Herbert Schwartz and Silas Robert Allen. Only 5,000 coins were minted worldwide, each serialized and packed in a custom RCM clamshell box.
