Star Wars is an American epic movie franchise centred on a film series created originally by George Lucas in 1977. The franchise depicts a galaxy described as “far, far away” in the distant past, and portrays Jedi as a representation of good, in conflict with the Sith, their evil counterpart.
The first film in the series, Star Wars, was released on May 25, 1977, by 20th Century Fox and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. This stunning engraved 1 oz Silver Coin features the face of Han Solo frozen in carbonite, as in the 1980 release of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

This features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
