Obverse: in the foreground is the pyramid of the sun of Teotihuacán, one of the largest buildings in Mesoamerica. Above it is the angel of independence, a symbol of Mexico City and the country, which pays homage to the heroes of independence. On the right side, is the monument to the revolution, an architectural work and mausoleum dedicated to the commemoration of the Mexican revolution. On the left side you can see the palace of fine arts, maximum house of the expression of the culture of all artistic manifestations, behind these two monuments on the horizon, the two most important and recognized volcanoes in Mexico which represent one of the most beautiful Mexican love legends; Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl, among which Tonatiuh the Mexica sun god appears resplendent. And finally, in the background as sheltered by all these symbols, we find the emblem that represents the greatest pride for Mexicans, the eagle devouring the serpent, which is embodied in our beautiful national banner.
