Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Edition 2009 Max Oppenheim 4810 Fountain Pen 104218
Comes with original Box and Papers

His thirst for exploration led diplomat and archaeologist Max von Oppenheim to discover in 1899 the remains of a very advanced ancient civilization at the Tell Halaf site in northern Syria. He was one of the greatest archaeologists of the 20th century. The Max von Oppenheim edition symbolizes the fascination that the Orient had exerted on Oppenheim from its childhood. The design of the solid silver writing instrument 925 is inspired by the domes of the Oriental mosques. The body and cone are decorated with inlays of pale grey translucent lasca. The Bedouin motif finely engraved on the 18K rhodié gold pen recalls Oppenheim's passion for the tribes of the Arab world.
